Battle River Collective Agreement

Effective September 1, 2014, the employer increases its contribution to health expenses to USD 550 per teacher per year, in proportion to 4.5.1 of this agreement. 1.3 The trial program will take place during the 2017/18 school year and will expire on August 31, 2018, regardless of collective agreements based on the law. 2.2.2 In the absence of an agreement, the matter is decided by arbitration at the end of the PECBA. 1.1 This collective agreement applies to all employer workers who must be required to have a valid apprenticeship certificate under the authority of the Ministry of Education, the Province of Alberta, which is collectively appointed prime contractor; or, if the context requires it, teachers, with the exception of those designated as: 2.4.1, notwithstanding paragraph 59, paragraph 2 of the Labour Relations Code, a notification of the opening of local negotiations by a school court or association after, but no more than 60 days later, must have been ratified in accordance with Section 11 (4) of the BAPEC, in accordance with Section 11 (4) of the BAPEC, where the central conditions were otherwise resolved. 2.6.1 In centralized table negotiations, representatives of the association and TEBA meet no later than 30 days after the announcement of collective bargaining. At the first meeting, the association and TEBA will exchange details of all requested changes. c) teachers covered by the collective agreement who are affected by the bonus. 6.2.1 The provisions of this agreement on salary, allowances, leave and performance bonuses are applied in proportion to part-time teachers, depending on the length of effective one-year full-time service. 1.6 “flat payment” refers to a one-time payment corresponding to other one-time payments sometimes referred to as signing bonuses.

The “flat payment” does not explicitly include the continuation or extension of the lump sum payments currently provided for in the settlement agreements between employers and unions, which are listed in point 1.1 of this letter. 2.1 The duration of this collective agreement is from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2018. Unless otherwise stated, this collective agreement is fully applicable until August 31, 2018. (a) a new collective agreement is concluded or b) a strike or lockout under Division 13 of the second part of the Labour Code begins during local negotiations. 4.2.2.2 If there is more than one assistant principal, an amount equal to 100% of the main allowance is divided between them, as agreed between the principal and the assistant principals within that school. If there is no agreement, the allowance is distributed among them in relation to their administrative time allocation. 9.2.8 A teacher who has been granted professional improvement leave must enter into a written individual agreement with the school court on the conditions under which the teacher must return to the school system.
